Location overlooking the common. Friendly and helpful staff. Good choice of breakfast. Excellent rooms. Nice atmosphere in the restaurant. Welcoming bar with music. Gem for travelers used to 5-star hotels. Very helpful staff for late breakfast. Great evening meal. Extra camp bed added to the room without fuss. Insisted on providing a packed brunch. Brilliant common view location. Best room with impressive bathroom. Definitely going back.

The staff were friendly and efficient, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The room wasnice and neat, with all the necessary amenities. The location was perfect, with beautiful walking trails on the nearby common and a picturesque church just across the street. It was also conveniently located within walking distance of the railway station and bus service, great to easily explore nearby towns. We especially enjoyed the lovely garden and the fact that dogs were allowed in the bar, while children were not permitted in the evenings. The fresh cooked breakfasts were delicious, with a great selection of options. this hotel provided us with a pleasant and enjoyable stay.

I had a fantastic stay at this luxurious hotel. Nestled in a green and peaceful area away from the hustle and bustle of busy roads, it provided a tranquil retreat. The service and housekeeping were impeccable, ensuring that everything was in top-notch condition. I was pleasantly surprised to be offered a welcome drink upon arrival, which added a nice touch to the experience. The room amenities were also impressive, with ironing facilities, heating, and a cozy sitting area. I particularly enjoyed the terrace, where I could unwind and take in the beautiful surroundings. The staff were incredibly friendly and made me feel right at home. The leisure facilities, including the garden area, provided a great place to relax and enjoy the hotel's Wi-Fi. I was extremely satisfied with my stay here.

I was actually surprised by how lovely the recently refurbished Crown Inn looked on our arrival. The large room we booked was really good with its beautiful decorations, soft carpet, and ample storage space. The bathroom was also newly furnished and spotlessly clean, with luxurious bath sheets and lovely toiletries. The staff at the inn were friendly and efficient, providing us with a warm welcome. the peaceful location of the inn added to the overall pleasant atmosphere. The breakfast, served by the good Theresa, was delicious, and she made us feel welcome with her engaging and friendly demeanor. Despite a few minor drawbacks such as cobwebs on the ceiling and a spider in the bath, as well as a slightly warm room and a green light that disturbed my sleep, the overall experience at the Crown Inn was really good. I would definitely stay here again when visiting family in the area. I highly recommend this hotel for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

We decided to try something different and chose to stay at a local pub for a change. Its location was quite convenient, just a short walk from the railway station. However, parking was a bit of a hassle as we had to find a spot further up the road due to the pub being very busy. The room itself was cozy and comfortable with nice little extras in the bathroom. The staff were friendly and the breakfast was delicious with plenty of options to choose from.

The room could have benefited from a fresh coat of paint.
